She is PhD Student in Information Communication Technology at the University of Palermo. Her main research interests are on Bioinformatics, Big Data Analytics and Digital advertising. She deals with methodologies for the modelling and analysis of data through complex networks, in the field of Big Data. She obtained the certificate of competence in Computer Science for the acquisition of knowledge in the field of Science, issued by the University of Palermo. Since November 2019, she is a PhD student in Information Communication Technology, at the University of Palermo, whose Supervisor is Prof. Simona E. Rombo. She has been a speaker in two conferences: 13th Internazional Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Information Retrieval (KDIR 2020), and 6th Internationa Workshop on Data Management and Analytics for Medicine and Healthcare (DMAH2020). She attended the HelloAIRIS winter school on machine learning and Artificial Intelligence. She is a reviewer of papers for BIBM 2020: International Conference on Bioinformatics & Biomedicine. She is a member of the prin project team since 2019. Mariella is a graduate of the master’s degree in computer science (2019). She has coauthored of scientific publications.
